Terms & Conditions

These terms explain how selling gold to Premium Gold Buyers works. Please read them before sending or handing over any items. Nothing is sold until you have reviewed and accepted an offer.

Highlighted items in square brackets are details still to be confirmed by Premium Gold Buyers. Until they are confirmed, please contact us before relying on them. This document has not yet been reviewed by a solicitor.

1. Who we are

Premium Gold Buyers ("we", "us") is a gold-buying business. Contact: Joe Ellis, telephone 07960 148124, email premiumgoldbuyers@gmail.com, postcode WS10 7QU.

Further business details, including a full address for correspondence, are available on request.

2. Who can sell to us

You must be at least 18 years old, a UK resident and the lawful owner of the items (or authorised by the owner to sell them). We may ask for proof of identity and address before paying, and we may decline any transaction.

3. Items we accept and refuse

We consider gold jewellery, broken or damaged gold, chains, rings, bracelets, earrings, watches containing gold, gold coins and other gold items. Every item is subject to assessment and we cannot buy everything.

We may refuse items that are not gold or are of insufficient precious-metal content, items we cannot verify, plated or filled items, or anything we reasonably suspect is stolen, counterfeit or otherwise unlawful.

4. Your responsibilities

You confirm that the information you give us is accurate and complete, that you own the items or have authority to sell them, and that they are free from any third-party claim. Please remove any items you want to keep and keep your own photos and records.

5. Stolen and prohibited items

We will not knowingly buy stolen or unlawfully obtained goods. Where we suspect an item is stolen or that an offence has been committed, we may retain the item and report the matter to the police or other authorities, and share relevant information with them as permitted by law.

6. Selling by post

Please contact us before posting anything so we can confirm the arrangements. We will tell you how to package your items and which postage method to use. Please follow those instructions and keep proof of postage.

Do not send cash or unnecessary personal documents.

7. Postage, packaging and risk

Items remain your responsibility while in transit until we have received them, unless we agree otherwise with you in writing before you send them. We will confirm any postage costs with you in advance. We do not make any statement about insurance cover unless confirmed to you in writing for your transaction.

8. Collection appointments

Collections are subject to availability and your location. Please contact us to check whether we can collect from you; we will confirm the date, time and arrangements before any appointment. Please be present at the agreed time; we may rearrange or cancel an appointment where reasonably necessary and will tell you as soon as we can.

9. Receipt, assessment and valuation

When we receive your items we will let you know they have arrived. We assess items for metal type, fineness and weight. We may weigh and test items using appropriate methods to confirm their precious-metal content.

Any figure given before we have physically assessed your items — for example by phone, email or from photos — is an estimate only and is not binding.

10. Offers, acceptance and rejection

After assessment we will make you an offer, and explain how it was reached if you ask. You are free to accept or decline. A contract to sell is formed only when you clearly accept the offer. We will tell you how long an offer remains open when we make it.

11. Pricing and market changes

Gold prices change constantly. Offers reflect the market at the time they are made and may change if not accepted within the validity period. We do not guarantee any particular price.

12. Payment

Once you accept an offer we will pay by bank transfer or cheque. We will confirm the payment method and expected timing with you when you accept. We may need to verify your identity before paying. Please make sure your payment details are correct; we are not responsible for payments made to incorrect details you supplied.

13. Returning items if you decline

If you decline an offer, we will return your items. We will confirm the return method, any cost and timing with you before you send items, and before the transaction is completed.

14. Delays

We aim to handle every enquiry promptly but are not responsible for delays caused by postal services or events outside our reasonable control. We will keep you informed if anything is delayed.

15. Our liability

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited or excluded by law, and nothing affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

Otherwise, we are only responsible for loss or damage that is a foreseeable result of our breach of these terms or our failure to use reasonable care. We are not responsible for losses that were not foreseeable, or for business losses.

16. Complaints and contact

If you are unhappy, please call Joe on 07960 148124 or email premiumgoldbuyers@gmail.com with details. We will acknowledge your complaint and aim to resolve it as quickly as reasonably possible.

17. Your personal information

We use your details as described in our Privacy Notice.

19. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version in force when you accept an offer applies to that transaction. Questions about these terms: call 07960 148124 or email premiumgoldbuyers@gmail.com.

20. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may also bring proceedings in your local courts.
